JockMKT is a unique fantasy sports betting app that combines the excitement of DraftKings with the strategic trading of stock options. Contracted by Bid Ventures, I was brought on to develop the design system, redesign their main product, the Markets Trading game, and create a new onboarding process aimed at reducing user churn.
Redesigning Markets
The original home screen of the app was very bland and gave users little reason to explore and interact with the games. The goal of the new home/discover screen was to direct users to the best and most active games, highlight specials and promotions, and feature some of the newer games.
Design System
Working with the engineering team, I was able to start break down all elements of the app into re-useable components. As a team we integrated with Storybook, and through Chromatic I was able to create a "github" style approval process for all changes on a component by component level.
Marketing Page Redesign
The landing page was a quick, fun project. I redesigned the entire page from scratch, using some of the new branding and elements that I designed for the Markets pages. I contracted a friend of mine to build it out, and within just a couple weeks we had a really nice, new representation of our product at jockmkt.com.
